Imbolc down here. My beautiful cat, familiar, and best friend of 15 years passed away last night from illness. Selfless to the very end.

    • I forget sometimes about how the internet has made us so connected, and that the Wheel is flipped for you. I’m so sorry about your furbaby! I dread the day my dogs will inevitably go. :((( May Hekate lead him or her across the Rainbow Bridge, to an eternal field of catnip where there is no pain, only love.

Difficult to know why I am so sad when I gave her such a great life for 15 years. There was no reason to think she was going to live forever and I have dealt with tragic deaths of friends and a brother. This cat was my best friend through post trauma and she gave me nothing but love. She had more guts, spirit, and honesty than any human I currently know.
        Thanks for your kindness.

    • For some reason WordPress won’t let me reply to your other comment below. It’s not difficult to understand at all. You gave her a wonderful life, but that doesn’t make the pain of this transition any easier. I know what you mean. My dogs are the truest spirits I have ever known. They are so much purer than humans.

BTW, your relationship with her doesn’t have to end. It changes now that she’s in the spirit realm, certainly, and you’re used to having her here in the flesh. It won’t be the same. But she can be a spirit ally. Talk to her, like you would any of your Gods and spirits.

Thanks for that. It is good to be reminded. I haven’t used drugs or alcohol in 19 years this October yet those spiritual reminders are essential to keep good fitness and direction. I appreciate it.
Wordpress can be a pain sometimes. Still much better than social media for the illiterate.

    • Congratulations on 19 years sober! That’s quite an accomplishment. Take care of yourself. And I’m glad I could be here for you when you needed it. I’m not on WordPress all that often these days.
