Collage Art: Nyx-Nuit

I don’t know if the Greek Nyx and the Egyptian Nuit were equated in ancient times, but the correlation made sense to me. Just my UPG.

Nyx

Primordial Nyx, Lady Night

Daughter of Chaos, Mother of Strife

Dark-manteled one, of shining eyes

Flowing hair, of pitchest black

Skin ebony-dark,

Like space,

Like fertile earth

Black-cowled robe covering Her face

Eyes bright, shining white

Burning like a thousand suns

The only light in Her visage

Quickly absorbed by the rest of Her

Be careful!

To look into Her eyes

Is to go mad.

Frail mortal mind

Cannot contemplate

Her immensity.
